ISSUE THE LIBRARY CARD

In accordance with the Regulations for the Organization and Operation of the “George Emil Palade” UMFST Library in Târgu Mureș, access to library services is granted based on a library card. This card is issued by the Library’s Public Relations Department after the user’s information is registered in the library software and confirmed by a librarian.

The registration of personal data for the purpose of issuing the library card can be done either on-site at the library or remotely from the user’s home, by accessing the following link: HERE.

Required documents for issuing a library card:

For students/master’s students:

  • Identity card
  • Student/master’s student ID (validated for the current academic year)

For teaching staff, auxiliary teaching staff, and non-teaching staff of UMFST G.E. Palade Târgu Mureș:

  • Identity card
  • Employee ID

For medical residents and external users (doctors from the healthcare network):

  • Identity card
  • Resident/PhD student ID or a certificate proving residency/PhD status, or researcher employee ID
  • Payment receipt for the reader’s card issuance – 30 RON

The fee for the library card can be paid at the university’s Cashier’s Office, at any Banca Transilvania branch, or via bank transfer/postal order to the account:
RO32TREZ47620F330500XXXX at Trezoreria Tg. Mureș, with the following details:
UMFST G.E. Palade Tg. Mureș, CF 4322742, Str. Gh. Marinescu no. 38, Mureș County.
Please specify the payer’s full name and status (medical resident, PhD student).
In the payment details section, please write: Library card issuance fee.

Steps required for registering to obtain a library card:

  1. Registering in the library user database (with consent to provide personal data to the library in accordance with GDPR regulations).
  2. Users who do not consent to provide personal data to the library will access its services using a student card/student ID. These users will be allowed to borrow publications only within the reading room and will not be permitted to borrow items for home use.
